2006 Fund Raiser Huge Success!

Everything was perfect at the Ocala Hilton Sunday evening for the Ocala Farm Ministry's auction and dinner to raise funds for, The Robert Scanlon Community Center which raised well over $230,000, through the generosity of our community.

Guest speaker and RTCA advocate, Cot Campbell kept everyone in stitches with his wonderful stories, such as his beloved pink Packard car. David Cassidy, of Partridge Family fame assisted auctioneers and signed autographs.

The Ministry and Chaplain Bob Miller want to thank all who participated in making the event such a success. The Ocala Hilton for the wonderful job they did...the planning committee, Stephanie Brennan, Jaqui DeMeric, Heather Coots, Michelle Speight, and Sonya Harrigan, just to name a few. And all the other wonderful people it took to put this event together. The farms that donated the 13 stallion seasons, which grossed over $103,000. The Tobie Keith Tickets, with backstage passes, which sold for $10,000. Two framed horse halters (Afleet Alex and Stevie Wonder Boy) that sold for $11,000.00, and a trip to Dubai to the 2007 Dubai World Cup which sold for $36,00.00, then donated back to re-auction and brought another $30,000.00.
